Training of security guards

For more than 10 years, the Guard Training Center has been operating on the basis of the “BRIG” Group of Companies (GC “AKB-OF BRIG”). The center carries out special training for the profession of security guard 1-3 grades (code according to the DK 003 profession classifier: 2010-5169) according to course training and advanced training programs in accordance with the State Standard of Vocational and Technical Education (DSPTO 5169-OK.7460).

In accordance with the decision of the Accreditation Commission, the Limited Liability Company “Complex Security Agency – Security Firm Brig” was issued a license by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for the provision of educational services (AE series No. 458921).

In 2017, the profession 5169 Security guard (by types of training, vocational training, professional development) was certified for 10 years. In the case of successful completion of the State qualification attestation, the trainees receive a certificate of assignment (increase) of the working qualification of the state standard, which gives the right to official employment and work in the protection of objects of any form of ownership throughout the territory of Ukraine.

The center is equipped with classrooms, a sports hall and a shooting range. Students undergo theoretical and practical training. Training in the profession of a security guard makes rather high demands on trainees. For professional communication with various social groups of the population, in addition to good physical, fire and hand-to-hand training, knowledge of the basics of psychology and conflict studies is assumed.

Qualified specialists of the relevant profile are involved in the educational process. Pedagogical workers increase their qualification level in courses according to the programs of teachers and masters of industrial training of vocational and technical educational institutions.

Training of canine guards
GC “AKB-OF BRIG” carries out training of canine guards. The training program includes both theoretical and practical components.

Theoretical classes
In the course of the classes, the issues of maintenance, care, feeding of the dog, as well as the rules for examining and determining the state of its health are considered in detail. Cynologists receive basic knowledge about dog diseases and measures to provide veterinary first aid.

Before moving on to practical work with dogs, canine guardians learn about training methods and courses, rules for developing special skills in dogs, and much more that is part of their competence.

Practical classes (courses of obedience and protective service)
Canine security guards are taught how to properly establish contact with a dog, to develop obedience skills in it, which discipline and allow controlling the animal’s behavior in the process of communication and service at security facilities.

The security guard service is designed to protect things, protect the owner (trainer), detain, escort and protect people, search the area and pick up things.

During protective service (SP) classes, the dog is trained under the trainer’s command to actively attack and detain a conditional violator, to be alert during the search, guarding and escorting of the detainee, to protect the canine guard. The dog must be able to attack the offender with a muzzle.

To practice the skills of working with a dog, training situations close to real conditions are created at the facility. Thus, canine guards and their pets learn to react correctly and quickly to relevant situations while performing protective and guard duties.
